From Kevin McCallister’s dad, to Ricky from the Trailer Park Boys, to the Penguin in Gotham, to Darnell from My Name is Earl, to D’Angelo Barskdale, to Sasha Grey, every single character seemed to be someone who you recognized from something else. This movie was unexpectedly filled out with a bucket-full of recognizable faces. She doesn’t always have mascara running down her face, just FYI… Snow’s ability to convey such heightened emotions through silent constraint. It is a much subtler take and more effective than any overly loud display of emotion. There is so much tension that can be built up by her facial expressions alone. You wouldn’t immediately think of that as an particularly important talent for an actress but it is incredibly necessary part of one’s repertoire in a horror or thriller movie. But in an ugly crier capacity, not one of those open eye with a single tear coming down the check sort of way. The movie is entirely focused on a deadly and sadistic game of Would You Rather between a group of 8 people who have been hand selected because of their immense desperation and need for money to help solve the dire problems in their lives.īrittany Snow may be the best crier working today. I’m not sure if I’ve ever seen a movie where the title described the actual story of the movie so well.
